Has camel gob been good enough this season to play for his country ?
Thought not.
Has Martin Kelly? That is the main question isn't it?
It's not about overall has he been a stand out player of the season, you pick the best player for the position, the choice was between Ferdinand and the Kelly boy.
Now I think everyone will be delighted if this lad puts in top performances and justifies his selection, but I just can't see it.
The question is, has he done enough in the couple of appearances he's put in for Liverpool or the 2 minutes at the very end, in his international debut..a week or so ago.
I mean we can hate the guy all you want, and he is probably one of the most hated rags out there, but it's very hard to justify bringing a young lad in who's done nothing to prove he can play at international level, especially when England have lost so many players through injury, experienced players. About 150 caps worth.
You can look at it every way you want, 2 minutes of English football and he's on the plane? That's not justified and if I was the rag himself I'd be beyond frustrated. Either he's a gem of a player that's gone unnoticed by the entire of the footballing world, or it's just not about football.
At the end of the day, it looks, more and more, that it has come down to the issues off the pitch.
If it was a choice between the rag and the racist, there should of which one was picked.
I wouldn't want to share a dressing room with a racist, I'd rather an egotistical little twit of a rag any day.
