Marked improvement but aren't Strikers measured by goals?

I fail to understand why Rooney ever makes an England squad given how he has proved time and time again he's shit in an England shirt.

Didnt look to happy when he was subbed. Perhaps wondered why him rather than Cassano who didnt do a thing.

Did I hear some strange noises from the crowd when he came off, or was it just my imagination?

He is not doing well at the moment, and i don't know why

Below his standard, looked Shaky and lack enough confidence, probably due to first games with national team that put him under enormous pressure

Funny how they bring him off then they concede, that Di Natale was shit when he came on as well!

I thought Mario was doing well, god knows why they bought him off!

Prandelli has said that Italy start to fade at the 60 minute mark and he has replaced BOTH forwards in BOTH games to try and keep a strong front line threat.

Mario was not happy, which has been the case with quite a few players. However, after a quick "puta" to himself, he went off, acknowledged the sub, went to the bench, put on a sweatshirt and watched the game out without issue.

So, just wonder WHY IS THIS AN ISSUE IF IT IS EXACTLY THE SAME AS ALMOST EVERYONE ELSE AT THE EUROS. Oh, and how many goals has everyone else scored at the Euros?!

Get off his case, for Christ's sake! He is a brilliant young player who has the ability to make something out of nothing, is strong, good in the air, and has an unbelievable shot. I hope he is able to control himself at City as well as he has done so far in these two games for Italy. I also hope he gets winner in their final game to go through to the QF.

He and Cassano had become a bit isolated in second half but I think main reason may have been to ensure that Mario was not given a cheap yellow card and have to miss the Ireland game.
