The Manc is also a massive England fan.
Yesterday he said that he'd rather England won the Euro's than Liverpool qualify for the Champions League. Very strange.
Me I'd rather City win a corner than England win the Euro's.

He's not strange for wanting the country he lives in to have a successful national football team. Thats just how he feels. That's how most of the rest of the world feels too, apart from in Spain where a lot of the countey don't support their country (but that is down to politics and wars; we've never had a war with United where people have been killed, many people!).

You're not strange for wanting City to do well before anything else. That's just how you both feel. The only thing that's strange is that you think it's strange.

I've got two mates who are England fans first. One is a City fan too, the other thinks club football is full of fans who are bitter *****. They're not strange.

I'm club before country. City come before most things in my life, even my ex's birthday meal. I reckon one of the main reasons she is my ex is because I put City first. England are important to me too.

Today at work a Liverpool fan had an England shirt with Rooney on the back. WTF.

If he was from Liverpool, the only thing i can think of is to wind the Everton fans up?

A Manc who's a Liverpool fan? What!?

Always known loads of Liverpool fans who are from the Manchester area. Plenty of mates and people at work are Liverpool fans, think its just because they were so successful in the 80's when we were kids.

Also because a fair few Scousers have moved to Manchester over the years and raised Mancunian Liverpool fans. Manchester is quite a big city when people don't look at it in the inward looking way of Manchester just being the borough that has 450k inhabitants. The actual city of Manchester is the second city of the UK financially, it is the fastest growing city in the UK for business and sport. It has fantastic Universities. There are London based companies moving to Manchester (Spinningfields). Loads of people from all over the country have moved to Manchester over the years. I've got Mancunian kids at the school I work at who are anything from Boro fans to Liverpool fans to Spurs fans.
