Ok, so because of your obsession with the bollocks hype Rooney is getting from our ever so predictable media, you'll be happy to see Lescott, Hart & Milner looking glum should we get knocked out?
My Passion for England has waned throughout the years anyways, Bit of an extra rest for our lads is how i see it, we get knocked out it's the team that takes it not just our players.
Also i wouldn't call it an obsession but just a bloody big annoyance to me that we've scored goals, yet i gather either one of Welbeck or Carroll who have both scored will miss out for the Dick, looks like were gonna have to rotate and shuffle just for him to play. If it ain't broke don't fix it.
So you would rather see Hart, Lescott & Milner down in the dumps just to be safe in the knowledge they'd get an extra 2 weeks rest?
You only need to look at the players faces post match to see they are all in it to win it. I agree Rooney is a vile creature, but he's the best player England have whether we like it or not and just because Carroll scored, I'd rather have Rooney any day of the week when it comes to football.
It's about time he delivered for England in the way he does for United, I'd like to think he'd be chomping at the bit tonight given the two games he's missed and the position we find ourselves in.
I just think it's a little silly to want England to be elimanated, especially when there's players from your own club who would do anything to win the thing.
I think Silva needs a rest. He's the one that I think is at serious risk of burn out and he also has that persistent ankle injury.
Apart from him, I'm happy that our players are involved. Players like Milner, De Jong and Balotelli didnt feature that much towards the end of the season and are not desparate for a rest. Hart, Lescott and Clichy had more game time but I dont think they ended the season exhausted. They should all benefit from the experience of playing in this tournament.
