Well said mate, and good on Roy

Also when the squad was announced , he not only had the media against him but most england fans , the uproar over a right back being chosen ahead of another right back was pathetic, people slagging off his decision to include Carroll, Henderson and Downing

Wish people just realised hes the manager , a good manager and he should have the freedom to pick who he wants.

No doubt when we next lose, people will be chomping at the bit to slag him off again, just seems English fans prefer to moan than support England.

You do know Roy himself has said before the tournament that he's not had enough time to prepare and he's just carrying on from what Capello had done. So his selections choices are probably very heavily influenced by what Capello has left behind for him in the way of research and and what the FA recommended to him. We all know he's a very good manager, come on no disrespect to Switzerland but any manager that gets Switzerland to be ranked as 3rd in the world is bloody good.

Those nasty people having opinions again. Hodgson definately has the freedom to pick whoever he wants, just as the people that put time, money and energy into the English team have the right to question him for it.

Am I pleased for Hodgson? I couldn't give less of a shit.

He's amazing, he managed to lower everyone's expectations then remove any lingering hopes we had of being entertained by playing the worse football I've seen England play. Well done Roy.

I was pleased when he got the job and I feel he has done a good job so far. I disagreed with the Richards thing, but I am a City fan so I am bound to see that as a mistake, and he is paid to back his own judgement, so fair play.

Liverpool fans couldn't contain their derision when he was appointed. The same Liverpool fans who thought Kenny was the Messiah rather than a tactically inept dinosaur.

To think they used to be known as the most knowledgeable fans in football. How times change.

hate to be a party pooper and spoil this Hodgson love in but last night was a shambles. Starting fat shrek was a terrible decision unless of course your Ukrainian because 95% of the time he passed to a Ukraine shirt. The team has much more balance when Chamberlain is playing. Yet Hodgson continues with Young and Milner down the flanks. Even Walcott has done more than both combined with in the little time he has played.

To be honest be greatful your still in it. It could of been worst you could be Irish fans lol.
Anyway as for Roy and his tatics and squad he wont use all the players he will stick to 16 to 17 players tops for the tournament. The players like Kelly , Downing and other surprise selections wont get a run out. I think you will beat the Italians Ireland were so fucking poor against them yes Italy played some good stuff but up against a better team Italy will struggle. Beating Italy will boost the English confidence and you just dont know what will happen in the remainer of the tournament. To be honest normaly by now in the major tournament England would be pressing the self destruct button by now but it just seems a settled bunch of players to me at the moment.

To be fair he was worshiped at Anfield and if Mancini left tomorrow and we didn't win the PL for the next 20 years I'm sure most of us would welcome him back like a god.

lol, started him and he scored the winning goal, now got a game behind him and fitness back to scratch, no manager in the world would have left him out.
