I imagine (as others have said) there is an element of brinksmanship going on here. The costs to the clubs performing such a u-turn by fans voting with their feet across 36 games in a season would be far greater than the 2-4 matches with Rangers in a season I would surmise.

Interesting development nonetheless.

Scaremongoring of the highest order, rumours now that 6 spl clubs could follow rangers into administration, div 3 is going to be some size lol

Same as they do in England.

Green is a greedy delusional gibbering idiot.(The same guy that promised Rangers fans that his backers had £30m to invest yet no one has seen a penny of it)

The publication he chose to spew his nonsense in has a long history of running hysterical speculative sensationalist garbage.

Put the two together. Nothing to see here, move along.

ESPN lost their tv rights in the last deal so they wont be calling any shots any time soon. If sky lost the rights for the football it would be fucked. Subscriptions to sky sports and sky in general would plummet. I'm not saying the league doesn't bend for sky with the rearranging of fixtures but the deal favors the league much more now. If sky don't get premiership football any time soon it will be because they have been outbid by another station not because they have dropped it like the threat to scotland and that's the biggest difference imo

Taken from RTC website, source: 'The source was a senior News International employee'

Quote:
"any statement about Sky's position beyond our statement that we will not walk away in relation to Scottish football is sheer fantasy. We have not even discussed or considered renegotiation. That's not to say it won't happen but it has NOT been discussed. We have not even intimated to anyone within Scottish football that we will seek to renegotiate".

Newco cant hand back trophies that they havent won. As it stands theyre not even registered with the SFL. As for the oldco (now defunct) If the findings of the ongoing investigation show they have fielded players they shouldnt have its difficult to see how honours won under those circumstances wouldnt be stripped.

Sky also mentioned the 6 point plan earlier looks like there is something to see be farcical if they do stay in the SPL
