Carroll still hasn't moved Clubs. Only the fee has been agreed. He might not go yet!

Not a lot of point him hanging around self-pitypool really. He won't get many starts under Rodgers. And as for money; well, he's probably a millionaire anyway.

take it you didnt see us last season then ? we was one of the highest scorers in the country and played some brilliant football, bringing in Carroll to replace the target man of Cole does not mean we win just play long ball, Vaz Te and K.Nolan will tuck in behind him and we will work are way through midfield with Noble and Diame, personally i couldnt give it a shit if we did play long ball every game winning 1-0, but its a boring myth that Big Sam has been tagged with.

It's not though is it Mark? He was bickering with your fans last season through the press about the "West Ham Way" when they turned on his boring football. This is the man that made Kevin Davies the player he is. The man that Newcastle and Blackburn fans turned on because the football was shit.

I'm glad WHU are back in the prem, I just wish that fish head wasn't at the helm. Like others have said, his long-ball hard-tackling tactics are crap to watch. He then moans his arse off when something doesn't go his way. Having to not have to listen to his monotone voice for a season on MOTD was great, guess i'll have to mute him every week now!

Still hope Hammers stay up, didn't watch them last season so he may have changed his ways (though we'll see if he reverts to type now he's back in the prem). I'm basing all my hate of Big Sam on the Bolton of old. But hey if it works who am I to judge (apart from just doing so...)

Wonder if those Blackburn fans now are glad they got on his back ?

Alot of west hams didnt want him and took along time to warm to him because of this negative tag the media loves to play on - When we was stuffing teams 4,5 nill last season they slowly come to love the big man , now not one fan wants him out and if they do there tossers

Lets not forget he got Bolton in Europe playing attractive football with the likes of Jay Jay Okacha, Djorkaeff, Anelka etc

I hope we do play negative, horrible football next season because survival is the priority

I never mentioned Bolton fans, only Davies. They were happy because he'd brought them up that way. Blackburn fans would probably, with hindsight, take him back over Kean but that doesn't exonerate him.

I hope you stay up but to wish for negative, boring football to ensure safety is to completely ignore the achievements of both Norwich City and Swansea City last season.

Exactly. I think most Managers do want to play football but sometimes needs must in terms of opposition and the players you have. Interestingly, Norwich tried to give us a game last season in both fixtures and we put 11 past them.
