Wandering around Homebase in Alty last month. Walking down the aisle towards me is the one and only Darren Fletcher. As we drew level there was eye contact and he had a look on his face as if to say please don't be a blue.....please don't be a blue, so I say "alrite Fletch" and as his expression eases and he grunts a reply, I jump straight back in with " d'ya know where the bog is"

Wrong on so many levels..... I know , I know

Goater and Lakey are two really genuine lads, loads of time for Blues.

Darren Huckerby was a bit of a grump.

I was surprised to find Eric Cantona an affable guy. Scholes is a pretty normal lad. Used to go in the Top Mossley Co-op a lot.

5 of us went on an adventure of a lifetime to the 86 world cup in mexico.

city were touring in canada and usa. we headed to las vegas before city's first game in edmunton.

it was about 10 o'clock on sunday night when the canadian customs finally let us in after questioning us about being football hooligans.

no way could we get in a hotel, we tried about 12 hotels in the taxi before we got one, never forget 80 dollars on the clock.

finally got booked in, freshened up, ready for a night out.

sat in the cocktail bar having whatever when the dream came true. big fuck off coach pulls up outside - manchester city football club.

clive wilson and andy hinchcliffe bounce straight into the cocktail bar. we've ended up going out on the piss with all the team - what a fuckin ball we had eric nixon and kenny clements are fuckin complete loons.

frizzell was i think acting manager, he sorted us out tickets for all the games. until they finally got fed up with us. then we had to rely on andy hinchcliffe to pass us infomation which hotel they were staying at next.

all the players and staff, including the club doctor! were great to us.

Saw Wayne Bridge a couple of weeks back in Waitrose in Cobham, sadly Frankie wasn't there..

Edit: also saw Nail Quinn in an Irish bar in sunderland a couple of years ago, proper nice fella, came in on his own and just chatted on with people at the bar buying them drinks, Andy Reid was busking - pretty shit if I recall.

I've met Nicky Summerbee a couple of times. He talks like a fan as opposed to an ex-player. Nice, affable Bloke.
