I don't think I'd like to be unemployed in Manchester right now. I work away which keeps me ticking over fine - but I'm on every job mailing list imaginable and very few applications are even getting beyond the "friendly chat" with a Recruiter as opposed to me even being put forwards for an interview. Many of my friends have been working the same jobs for 5 to 10 years (good enough positions) but know full well that they can't leave because they'll struggle to find anything else.

Just been looking for a job at uni, its ridiculous. Only jobs going are either too specific, or out in the sticks. Or a submarine commander or fish filleter. Only Hull.
