We've had the favourite computer games thread a few times, so this is one for telling us about the worst games you had. There were few things worse in life as a kid as when you got a shit computer game, kidding yourself that it was good for a bit before accepting that you've just wasted 40 quid of your pocket money and then trying to swap ity for one of your mates good games. So let's hear em. One that springs to mind for me was called Shell Shock on the play station. It was a tank game where you went round blowing stuff up and you could improve your tank so it had all the makings of a cracker, but it was seriously fucking tedious. When the characters spoke their mouths moved but the words coming out of them weren't in sync, they weren't even close. The graphics were shit and the playability even worse. Anyone else have it? Luckily I think I managed to swap it for Jungle strike I think

Fatal Rewind (Mega Drive) - This is what happens when you nan gets you a computer game

Pretty much any game that's been rushed to coincide with a movie release will be awful. The only movie based games I remember enjoying are Battlefront and Lord of the Rings: Return of the King.

If I'm forced to think of any one particularly awful game, it has to be Tomb Raider Angel of Darkness. I say that simply because I love the Tomb Raider games but that one in particular was so so disappointing it almost talked me out of ever buying a Lara game again.

For sheer comedic awful you couldn't beat The Simpsons: Alien Invasion (or something like that) where Bart had to walk around collecting purple objects. I was 4 when it came out and never was interested enough to get past the first level.

I once paid 30 sheets for a sega game gear game called popils.
I thought i was buying poplous, the Early god game where you grow your tribe. A bit command and conquer like.
I got popils, a shit puzzle game which was absolutely impossible to finish.

And nobody would swap it, i think i got £5 trade in price on it.

Haha LongLang when I saw the pic of Populous before reading your full post I was about to jump down your neck. Populous was a fucking classic. My cousing had it on the master system or mega drive, I got Two Tribes (the sequel) on the Mega drive as well I think. Top fucking games

Yeah, brilliant brilliant game, when i finally got the fucker for master system. And i think it was poplous 2.
Just simple things like evening out the terrain or making mountains made the game for me. You just dont get that any more.

All Call of Duty games after the original Modern Warfare. LOTR Conquest was pretty terrible as well.

Any reason why they are bad games?

The worst game i ever had was the no choice Master System 2 built in Alex the Kid which is a dog shite game.
The worst worst worst ever though was when my mum brought me a mega drive and got a game called Marsupilami, it was based off a cartoon out around the same time and it was fucking drivel

Most, if not all, movie tie in games are a pile of dog shit.
