It's a brilliant film but I find it very difficult for those two scenes in particular.

Probably this... if I watched it as an Adult it wouldn't bother me as much but watching this scene for the first time as a 12yr old had quite a lasting effect on me.

There's also a scene in Goodfellas (i think) or Casino where Danny Devito repeatedly stabs a guy in the boot of his car, this for me was sick (lol)

American History X got me the same way, 12yo and yeah i was shocked then.

There is one film now where they kidnap a woman and torture her and beat her daily very badly for some warped religious thing about reaching zen or some shit.

Fucking rocked me that did. If i remember the name ill post it, or if someone else knows the film i mean.

not forgotten?

Not that mate but i will find it now as it is bugging me.

One other that really stands out was this french film, "Martyrs" http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1029234/ Don't watch with the missus if she is the pink fluffy type.

American History X , the kerb biting scene as already mentioned.

And not really gory, but made me feel pretty distraught after it, The scene in saving private ryan, where one of the americans gets killed by the knife in that room near the end.

It puts all the films you've mentioned in the shade

There isn't a more violent scene in film..fact

That's why I started the thread,I've pretty much seen everything a movie could throw at you over the years, but that scene in kill list is truly horrendous.
To anybody who hasn't seen this movie I Really recommend it as it's a good film but be prepared.

Saw kill list a few months ago, its hard core but not as bad as Martyrs imo.

Or the film i cant remember the name of, doh.

For weird hard stuff see "Audition" or Ichi, some of the Asian films are probably the worst of the lot.

Is it as bad as 'A Serbian film' the 'The new born porn scene'?

and from the same film ..... when the guy has his eye pulled out and gets f@cked through the empty eye socket till his brain goes mushy?

I've seen all the movies mentioned so far and I'm okay with it all. However, I'm quite disturbed by the rape scene in the American version of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. Very hard to watch, for me.
