I've been a city fan since April 1970, but always lived my life in Lancashire (0-4, 18-49) or Cheshire (4-18)

One thing that has struck me since Sunday following the long decades in the wilderness is that Manchester is a City that I've spent most of my life travelling round except with the exception of going to watch the team.

Perhaps these borders are trivial but they don't feel so at the moment and part of me wishes I was a true Mancunian.

Of course when it comes to Cricket, you're all welcome to feel like Lancashire Lads.

Does anyone feel the same ?

Having grown up in Manchester, having moved further to Glossop after University and then moving around doing work I can honestly say if I didn't have to leave. I wouldnt have.

Manchester is a great place to grow up in. It's not always a great place to make a living in.

I'm a Manc and a Lancastrian having been a season ticket holder for Lancs as a kid, so it does preclude the cricket

Can someone tell me a simple definition of what constitutes a Mancunian?

Except that before any of us were born, the county ground was in Lancashire so it doesn't preclude the cricket unless you want to thank the politicians for removing it.
