The whole Border debate is pathetic, I mean someone fresh off the boat 3mths back from Zimbabwe now living in Longsight is more Mancunian than Someone who was born and raised in Manchester but now lives in Zimbabwe?

I've lived in Manchester, I Work in Manchester, I'm regularly visiting the centre (excluding when watching footy) it takes me 20mins to get to work on the Tram, yet I'm not Mancunian because I live in Bury....

Tbh I don't even class myself as Mancunian so it doesn't bother me, nor do I class myself as Lancastrian.

The funny thing is the Lancashire Rose was prominent on our old club badge.

Not saying this map is wrong, but it's daft isn't it? The City 'Centre' is on the edge! So someone who lives right next to the city centre isn't a mancunian, despite living closer than a 'mancunian' who lives all the way in southern Wythy!

LOL! they had to be looking for an argument... I've met Glaswegians & Geordies on the other side of the world and they have felt more Mancunian to me than Frank Gallagher...

Wythenshawe wasn't part of Manchester until the mid 1930's, when an "urban paradise" was created out of rural Cheshire
