Same here, mailing address was Failsworth, Manchester 10.
The schools were under the Oldham board if I remember correctly. When we took the bus into "town", it was the 76 into Manc.

My Midd was M24 with a dialling code of 0161. That's Manchester to me.

hehe .....

born in Manchester , raised in Salford eh ?

A bit like the Bee Gees ... always thought of as being 'Mancs' , yet in truth born on the Isle of Man ... so they're actually 'Manx'!

I think !

Probably get crucified for this but I still think of myself as a Mancunian despite not living there since 1996.

Born in Withington hospital 1976 and lived in Chorlton until 1996, since then I have lived in Somerset (x4 years), Surrey (x1 year), Brighton (x1 year), Stockport (x3 years), Ashton (x5 years) and currently live in Dublin.

Just because I work elsewhere does not mean I have lost my soul, I was born and raised as a Manc, my roots are in Manchester and all my close family still live there and I am back most weekends, so I still feel as Manc as the rest of you.

It's my mum's fault, she and my dad were living in Higher Broughton but she heard some horror story about Hope and so opted to go to St Mary's. Little knowing it would taint my life forever.
