you missed a real treat on Tuesday night at the Ritz when Gov't Mule came to town.

Currently i'm in love with this young fine lady, she's as sexy as hell, can sing like a young Emmylou, plays guitar sometimes a flying V ffs, writes her own song and has a pair of legs to die for. Oh and she cooks in her tour bus if you look for it on youtube. What more could you want?

I give you the gorgeously talented Grace Potter....

Agree with you on all points there Blue2112....like that, will look for more of her. Reminds me of Maria McKee a little....

Ahh the fabulous Maria Mckee and Lone Justice, good times and fond memories.

Fuck it here's some more Grace, the best since Slick, and a cover of Heart's 'Crazy On You'

Firstly for those that don't know. I'm into bands like Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath, ACDC, Led Zep, Rush etc and then more "modern" bands like Kasabian, Oasis, Ocean Colour Scene, The Black Keys.

The worrying thing for me is I can't for the life of me think where the next big band is coming from. There's nothing out there at the minute to suggest that something new is around the corner that will dominate like the above have done in their time.

Any blues out there either recommend something new or any band out there that are gonna be the next big thing?

ive often wondered if we will get to a point when groups or individuals will find it diificult to come up with anything "new" that will create another generation of great acts, in the last 60 years we have had blues, rock, metal, punk, country, reggae, pop, rap plus loads more and variations of these, where does music go from here?

if i flick threw the music channels on sky 90% of it is rap or fucking R&B, everything nowadays seems to be tinkering with what has gone before, i dont know if its my age but the older stuff that i never heard of is much more interesting than any of the new stuff coming out

Well I'm locked in a 70's time warp but we need some sort of music revolution.

I love linkin park but word of advice... Dont get there new album its shite, i recomend hybrid theory though, iv found myself going back in music time recently as im in a sutuation where im sik of listening to the mordern shit. The smiths, stone roses, oasis, beatles all seem to be on my currently playlist.

But if you want to try a different type of genre then try a band called hollywood undead, there brilliant and different.

Saw Black Sabbath this year. Could only imagine what it would of been like to see them in their prime. The OP is right. I don't see the next big guitar band that could be mentioned in the same sentence as AC/DC or Aerosmith etc

AC/DC still got it. Seen em in 2010 and they still got it. But then you can argue it wasn't Bon Scott is guess.

New Music styles tend to go hand in hand with new drugs. It also seems to be gay, black Americans who initiate the new styles.
