From the pen of Lee Child,Tom Cruise is playing Reacher,he doesn't remotely resemble the character from the books but this could be the start of a decent franchise ......

The long & the short of it is no-one wants the half pint prick Cruise to play him.

Cruise is too clean cut, Reacher is rugged...
