The preening isn't just the sprinters, and not even all of them either (Tyson Gay, Bailey and the Dutch sprinter weren't doing anything really). If you saw the line up before the Long Jump you'll have seen them doing pretty much the same as the sprinters, and the bloke who won it was doing a bit after his longest jump - it's just how some of them behave. In fact, I would say the 100m has calmed down slightly from the days when the Yanks dominated.

On another note, the BBC are just getting worse the longer the Games go on. Some of their commentators just need sacking. I don't know how Ben Ainslie kept a straight face with the fucking idiot who came up to his boat after he won yesterday - the bloke was an utter tit.

The coverage of Colin Jackson in the box when the 100m was going on was just fucking ludicrous. Slapping his fingers like a fucking 12 year old. Oh, and not being able to name the sprinter, then shouting 'the big man is coming, the big man is coming'.....utter ****. I think Michael Johnson was fucking embarrassed. Oh, and the twat by the trackside speaking to the athletes when they come off is a twat as well. All he seems able to say is 'how about this crowd, aren't they amazing'. It's the Olympics you ****, the crowd was the same in Beijing and in Australia.........

5Live isn't much better. I'm enjoying the coverage, especially Handball - love it. Seems like I'm enjoying the stuff that the BBC aren't allowing their fucking idiot commentators anywhere near. (that said, I think the commentators in the velodrome have been quite good).

Rob Walker and Ben Ainslie was hilarious, he was pulling Ainslie about, and Ben was looking at him as if to say, calm down mate, stop shouting at me, i won the fucking gold not you... my mate looks like Rob Walker, he's been copping shit from us for shouting at Ainslie. Shelly Robertson has been ok explaining things, so its a wonder they let Walker near the sailors.

Did you see the look Michael Johnson gave Jackson when they watched the replay of them watching the 100m. He pointed to it, then himself and said thats how you do it - cool as fuck, didnt move a muscle until clapping after it finished and Inverdale said, thats why you arent a commentator Colin.

On the plus side Inverdale, Humphries and Balding (maybe lack of gold in the pool have caused this though) have been alright.
