I'm gonna warn my 16 year old daughter and her Moss Side based mates when they return from Gran Canaria .... they're far too 'streetwise' and walk through the streets of Moss Side and Rusholme every night as though its a safe haven , but it obviously isn't !

They go to frequent house parties down there in the early hours and think nothing of walking half dressed from house to house .... and the job i've had to even find her when i've gone to pick her up up is another story ..... there can be hundreds of people at those house parties , which often spill out into the streets.

That guy in that photo looks like he's walking next to the Powerhouse , Raby St , close to Broadfield Road Park .... and there's every chance that my kid and her mates might recognise him , as they go to that venue reguarly .

There's some wierd fuckers walking those same streets at the best of times , and lookin' at the times of this guys attacks he never seems to sleep ....... he won't get away with it forever , but it's lookin' like he's gonna try to !

That description sounds like the same guy who attacked a woman on steps to a building in a side-street , off Princess Street , a few months back .... happened close to the New Union pub.

The attack in your link is only a few hundred yards from there.

The well lit areas around Wilmslow Road should be fine at night. The Takeaways are still open etc. Moss Side is a different story though with the alleyways and what not. No one (let alone a girl) should be walking through there alone at such an hour - especially if they're a bit worse for wear.
