Am I going to incur the wrath of Damocles by having installed this on my browser? Not that I intend to deactivate it any time soon. In one week it's blocked 1800 website tracking companies...

It seems fairly obvious that I don't.

Please explain how it's a good thing that advertising companies can track the websites we visit without our knowledge or permission...

OK don't bother then. I did put this is Technical queries, so even it it wasn't obvious from the OP, it was actually a question about whether this is necessary and whether you/Ric had a problem with me using it, as you do with Adblock.

Oh, and a non-condescending answer would also be appreciated this time.

By all means install it if you wish. It's AdBlock we have the bigger problem with.
