...if it hadn't been for this.
I know you could say it about any important goal, but another year in England's third tier could have been disastrous.

We've come so far. 90 minutes between us and glory.
Roll on Sunday!

No doubt about it. That's why it will always be referred to as THAT goal.

Unfortunately my dad is not here to witness this weekend, but he always said it was his goal to take me (and my younger brother once he was born) to see City win at Wembley.

At 2-0, I wanted to leave, but he made me stay.

Although not here now, I know he's looking down with all the other lost blues, from the big Kippax in the sky.

Without that goal (and Horlock's), I wouldn't like to think where we'd be now.

For that reason "THAT" goal will always hold a special place in my heart.

Been reading Andy Morrison's book and I've no doubt about it, we certainly wouldn't be where we are now if the big man hadn't dragged us through that division. We were stuck in mid table and going nowhere when he came. He was a true leader and everything we needed at that time and had been crying out for.

He may not have been the last minute goalscoring or penalty saving hero, but he's just as much a part of it and we owe so much thanks to him as well, cheers Andy!

So true. So many people had left the ground before that goal - heard the cheers whilst they were queuing for the underground and ran back in through the open gates. I'd stayed in my seat and watched the extra time and penalties with a totally new lot of Blues.
It sticks in my mind more than any other City experience. Hoping tomorrow will surpass it
