I hope the club fined him for this.

There still needs to be more consistency on this, if they do it under one circumstance like this they have to do it at another no matter what it is.

Not that it matters this time anyway.

(Due to this yellow card he could not play his last game for Independiente before going to Atlético.)

Anyway, I don´t think he cried when he got booked last Sunday.

No, just when he smashed in the winner!

I hope the club take a stand and make him pay the £10, that'll teach him.

The thing I don't get is right, Billy Sharp lost his son and didn't get booked cos he celebrated in his honour (and rightly so) but Aguero got booked for scoring one the most important goals in our history.

I'm not saying that the circumstances are the same cos God only knows how Billy Sharp felt after that but from a pure emotion point of view, they're pretty similar, albeit for very different reasons.

What would have happened if he was already on a yellow card? Surely he wouldn't have sent him off.

I just wish there was a bit of common sense at times

While nobody in the group probably saw it, my fantasy football had him down for -1 for a card.

Haha, for a few seconds I had won our work's fantasy league. But the yellow card meant I tied for first place.
Don't thing I can begrudge Sergio, though. And the goal won me a lot more money from our new best friend Fred Done . . .

In that case the referee would probably have been lynched (and even the ref bosses wouldn't admonish an official for that) if there's ever an exception to the rule that was it.

Picture a scenario where a player has picked up enough bookings to get a suspension. Maybe one of the bookings was for doing the shirt celebration. This suspension coincides with a clubs biggest game of the season. Legally they could have a case to point out inconsistencies (had Aguero not been booked) and appeal against the celebration booking. Would a club do that? Probably not but there has to be consistency to avoid scenarios like that.

I think it's not even something the FA made up, a bunch of years ago suddenly almost every country decided taking your shirt off = yellow, so it must be an UEFA decree!

Idiotic that.
