just been texted some very interesting news off my niece, she lives in london and engaged to a stockbroker in the city, anyway they went out with friends for a meal last night, while the two men were alone at the table, the friend a merchant banker mentioned, he had been invited into talks on behalf of his bank regarding the acquisition of wayne rooney by chelsea football club.

I am sure someone in a position like that would just blab it out in a restaurant, and why the fuck would Abramovich need to involve a merchant banker in such a deal?

Can't see this if Shrek leaves the Rags he'll go abroad IMO Madrid or Barcelona. Do think if they don't spend big in the summer we can expect another transfer.
