It's easy to go back and laugh at comments from last year. lets hope some of the negativity about one or two of our own players will be laughed at during next season.

But worth bearing in mind when the same posters here are taking the piss out of others, and claiming more football knowledge than others too......................................I was panned for saying Cahill is/was better than Lescott who, without Kompany to help him, is a liability now and in the future.

And rightly so you were panned. Lescott has been awesome this year 1-2 mistakes at most.

Cahill had a couple of good games for Chelsea and now we missed the boat.

This is why fans shouldn't run football clubs - massive knee jerk reactions!!

Unfortunately for you Lescott is better than Cahill, if anything Lescott looked more assured when we missed Kompany in January/March. He's had a phenomenal season.

Most centre backs would be good enough as 1/11th of the luckiest 11 man bus to ever grace the champions league. Him winning it proves nothing. We have to value how good our centre backs will be when the rest of the team is attacking the other team, with lots of space, directly up against world class forwards. FWIW I don't think Lescott will particularly shine at this either (though he is and always will be a first class Prem defender and I still think he's a legend), and Mancini will be looking directly at him as the chink in the rear armour that needs replacing for Europe. But is Gary Cahill the answer to that dilemma? Is he fuck.

Man of the Match for me last night, he had a cracking game, absolute bargain for Chelsea.

Are you under the impression that Chelsea won the league? Or is this a classic example of "self clarkieing?
