Can't see that being true. The mother of all pr disasters if it is. Can not imagine the reaction of Liverpool fans if he had been sacked for this reason. The only way the American owners would know about the illness would be if he had told them himself, if that is the case i would imagine he might have stepped away from the club for his own health or came to some arrangement where it was made clear that he had left for medical reasons or something else but would certainly not be put down as a sacking

The only respite you get with alzheimers is that you forget you've got it.
