You may well be right. Wouldn't it be tragic if he pulls a hamstring in his next international match.

He seems a huge risk for £35 million and with a squad that won the league you don't need to take that risk. I have no doubt though that Chelsea will be challenging next season. They've got an excellent squad and if they sign Hulk as well they will have a great attack. I can see Torres being on fire next season now that he knows he will be their main striker.

That's a great team whatever way you look at it and is a realistic competitor for the league.

I have to say the way he has gone about his transfer I don't think he has done himself any favours. IMHO he has come across as a bit of an attention seeking prima donna who is only really interested in the money (sound familar?).
I'm sure the guy is a good player but with that fee and those wages you really do need to be getting the finished article. A proven player who you know will deliver. Time will tell of course but I am not too unhappy he has passed us by and chosen Chelsea. It will be interesting to see if the media / press really give Chelsea some stick over spending this amount of money for what is an unproven French kid. Somehow I think the press will be nowhere as bad as when we splash the cash. Also good to see us having some common sense and not being held to ransom on every transfer target we look at. All in all a good deal all round.

things have mostly gone our way with our targets since august 2008 but it won't always be like that.
