nice try rag. the only flaw in your argument is that united never actually paid a penny thanks to city's goodwill. check this out.

"why Utd owe us (probably)", "former City directors doubt the rent was paid"..

Well as your club's former directors don't actually say no rent was paid, think I'll stick with the reported figures until seeing evidence to the contrary..

Has nobody banned this rag WUM yet?

Who cares? They live down the road and we're better than them now. Just tell them that and smile, never mind any of this postcode malarkey.

Good that's a relief. Just VR left before the purge is complete.

Get with the programme JM. I thought irony was one of your few redeeming qualities. It would seem my judgment of someone's character can be called into question for the second time in 24 hours.

Wasn't aware I had any redeeming qualities but was trying to be ironic myself...obviously failed.

Don't think my point got through did it?

People still debating over what areas constitute Manchester...

Does it matter?

I was born in Bury, lived in Bury most part of my life, many people I have grown up with in this town have had some form of connection with Manchester, whether it was being born there, working there, family from there whatever....

Yet because they don't live in Manchester, this makes them less Mancunian than say some Ugandan refugee who has just moved into a council house in Manchester?

My accent is some weird mix of Bury-Bolton-Heywood-Manchester lol, with many ancestors I've managed to trace living for many years in Manchester - Yet I'm not Mancunian as I wasn't born, I don't live there...

Yet the mexican guy making your burrito in town is %100 Manc because he lives there.

Daft, really is daft logic.

Call themselves whatever they want, to me they will always be known as Rags, wherever they move their stadium to.

Champagne is not Champagne unless it comes from the Champagne region. I think the European Union should look into this.

the only flaws in your latest argument are that 1) the 'probably' quote was part of a tongue in cheek comment that with accumulated interest united now owe city millions and 2) if united had actually paid this rent surely the club would have responded with facts and figures to confirm it. but they never have.

united also 'borrowed' maine road for their early european cup matches because the swamp still didn't have floodlights. never mind, a very generous grant enabled them to build a nice new cantilever stand in time for the 1966 world cup. your club has a history of taking charity but giving fuck all back which you and the vast majority of your fellow rags have coveniently forgotten about. i bet you didn't know that sugar daddies bailed them out twice when they were about to go bankrupt.
