Can they survive, in a league that would not contain rangers? I don't think they could, as the other teams in the league attract crowds akin to Droylsden, how could they possibly continue, when the T.V money would half at least? The rest of the teams, rely on the revenue from the old firm, while the television companies are only really interested in the old firm games, imho if rangers were not allowed back into the spl, scottish football would plunge deeper than the Tibetan under 11's girl's B team league.

I think it's all about dosh mate. Any decent scottish players, would rather play in league 1 in england than the SPL in that instance.

Look at kenny miller, he could have returned to rangers, won the spl, played in a champions league qualifier, even the europa league. He chose Cardiff in the championship.......

No, and that is why the spl clubs will vote the new rangers back into the spl.

Financially it would be a disaster for the spl not to have them in there, and clubs like inverness, st johnstone, ross county would almost certainly have to return to being part time clubs, as their revenue would collapse if the sponsors pull out.

Even with rangers in there, there isn't enough money trickling down to the smaller clubs in the spl, and the middle sized clubs such as hibs, hearts, aberdeen, and dundee utd. Its why they play each other 4 times a season.

Nothing wrong with Droylsden! 'The Bloods' I have spent many a happy a time down at the Butchers Arms as a kid. Used to get have decent crowds. I remember the Rags came and played a promotional match one night. Pretty decent team was put out including Dennis Law.

Rangers have to be punished otherwise all bets are off regarding the future. Any club can go broke, default on their tax bill and just start again. Put them in Division 3. In the long run could be good for Scottish football
