The Premiership Trophy made a surprise appearance at the Sure Start children's centre today situated within Didsbury Park for the Didsbury Festival. City in the Community people were there also, along with Group 4 security keeping an eye on the cup! haha

The Didsbury Blues supporter's club had a stall there, so they may well have had a hand in organising this so they may deserve a big thank you also. Sure Start will raise a bit of extra cash from this as well. Don't you just LOVE our club.

Well done to all involved. Father's Day weekend's don't get much better than that.

Didn't know anything about it until I passed it on the way out of park so me and lad popped in and had picture taken with Trophy and Mike Summerbee. Bloke in front of me was like a kid in the sweet shop, his wife was giving him grief for not having a shave and trying to smarten him up for his photo. Some decent prizes on the didsbury Blues Tumbola as well. hope you raised lots of cash

Wish i'd known ...... i only live two minutes away from that park , and would defienetly have called in , even though the weather today hasn't been all that good.

Didsbury Blues is a great branch of the supporters club , and are now one of the biggest apparently.

They certainly did, Jeff Ball and co managed to persuade them to bring the trophy down, after being told earlier in the month that it wouldn't happen. great result.
