The Premier League champions have already filled their allocation ahead of the new season after being inundated with requets to watch Roberto Mancini's side in action.

Manchester City are set to scoop £50 million following the sale of a record 36,000 season tickets ahead of next season.

In their title-winning campaign, City averaged a club-record attendance of just under 47,000 and have since been inundated with renewals and executive box requests from corporations.

Due to City's success last term, the waiting list for a season ticket at the Etihad Stadium has reached 15,000 members but the club are unable to allocate beyond their 36,000 allowance in order to accommodate fans who prefer general admission to matches.

In preparation of the increased demand, City have also spent approximately £5m on revamping their lounges.

City's £50m windfall from season-ticket sales will come as a huge boost as the club attempt to drive down their record £197m loss posted in the last financial year.
