You 're right he is a hypocrite; he left a champions league winning Ajax for sampdoria who were already on the decline after Paolo Mantovani's death and left a year earlier for Real Madrid. In short he is wrong to criticise players for being mercenaries and I think his long stay at Milan had alot to do with Carlo Ancellotti's long tenure and use of the same 4-3-1-2 formation for most of that time.
Please. That article is 6 months old, and the speculation on a move to AC Milan is the subject. It isn't a dig, it's a fact. The same thing has been said many times about Tevez.
So if the question was, Clarence, do you think Tevez will sign? Then he answered honestly and fairly without any trace of hypocrisy, IMO.
The same thing has been said about Tevez many times however to portray Tevez as being solely motivated by money and have a dig at him for that is hypocrisy when at least one of Seedorf's transfers points to similar behaviour; why leave a club who had just won the Champions league for a club that was bankrolled to success (nothing wrong with that) but who had declined since that success if it was n't for money. Just to Back up my view, Sampdoria finished 8th in the season prior to him joining and in the season he was there, both times over 20 points or more off the winners. He was a good player no doubt but I dont like him, you said he was honest, well he could have yes I think he will sign or No he won't there was no need to aim a dig at Tevez or the club. I also think that the nice guy persona he portrays is just that; a persona .
He comes out with some rubbish like he was a part of Holland getting to the World Cup Final, no Clarence you were past it and not in the squad, does n't matter what happened in the qualifiers; if England win the Euros do we all have to thank Jack Wilshire or Adam Johnson. The tournament is played out and won in the tournament, if you are not in the squad of 23 you are not part of any success or failure at the tournament, simple as that
Edit: just seen on Wikipedia that his last international was in 2008 so I don't know why he believes he had any role in Holland's WC success; he fell out with Van Basten and was n't used because of the latters prefernce for younger players and did n't feature for the Oranje again; he has been over the hill a long time ago.
Rino Gattuso was a good DM in his Day, okay he has had vison problems in his left eye but I'm sure If we give him an eye patch and palm him off as a pirate, players have been described as buccaneering before how about just a buccaneer. No he has joined a lower level club like FC Sion as veteran on a last pay day the same scenario Seedorf would be looking at.
P.S. If you are reading Mr Gattuso, I don't intend any offence about your eyesight issues, just making a lighthearted joke and not laughing at your expense.
