I might be in a minority on this, but whenever I've watched him he's a fraction of the player Dzeko is.

Hugely unimpressive, I was hoping the rumours the Rags were getting him were true...

He was one of the players I was most looking forward to watching in the Euros. Even backed him to be top scorer!

Totally underwhelmed by him. Doesnt make an impact. Scores the goals you would expect a striker to score but hes a poor mans Dzeko.

With regards to our strikers I think we underestimate how effective the Balotelli Aguero Partnership is. I hope those two play along side each other more frequently. They have only had one bad game together and that was v Arsenal away.

Dont think we need any strikers unless they are significantly better than what we have now.

Have to agree with both Soulboy and Bluedan. His touch seemed no better than Dzeko's and he certainly didn't appear any quicker. So unless Dzeko has decided he wants to leave, it doesn't make any sense to me.

But... if the boss man wants him, then that's good enough for me.

I hope you were equally underwhelmed by RVP and Rooney. These tournaments are often a ridiculous way to judge a player. Judged on his England performances Rooney is no way a decent premier league player. We do however know different.

Conversely players who have shone are sometimes rubbish.Think Diouff (Senegal) Poborsky etc

I'd prefer to think that his Bundesliga performances are more representative of his ability. Also he did score 3 against Bayern in their cup final.

A German colleague of mine in our Pollenfeld office is a Dortmund season ticket holder and he voiced his relief that Kagawa had gone (though he rated him) because Lewadewski had gone under the radar

Says it all to me..... Maybe he didn't perform at the Euro because his head was elsewhere

Whenever I have seen him he has been 1 dimensional, whenever confronted by a defender standing him up he just tries to knock it past him or through his legs to no great success, he looks a decent finisher but the big difference between him and Edin other than his pace advantage over Lewandowski is that Dzeko can create the space for a shot for himself with a trick or two, no where near the same quality.

I live in Germany and have seen quite a bit of him. He's a very good player, but frankly the way Dortmund play you'd have to be a complete brick not to score the goals he has this season. I'd even stick my neck out and say that Edin would probably score more. All said and done he is decent though, but quite why we're supposed to be interested i have no idea.

I'd rather have Dzeko than Lewandowski because I want him to come big at city, however if Dzeko was to leave and Tevez, we would be in need for 2 strikers really, unless we use Guidetti. After Cavani, deamed to expensive and Ibra who is now a Psg player, I'd love to see Lewandowski here, and I'm taking into account we'd replace one of them with Rvp as well.
