I'mm 99% sure it's going to be Chelsea. They are more ruthless on transfer market these days I'm afraid and they need him much more.

If they get him, they could be a force to beat in future.

Not just that he would be almost be a guaranteed a starting place there and you can see Roman going all out like Hazard especially with agent fees and his agent is his father. ‘Ever since he was a boy he has loved Chelsea and has always thought it would be an honour to play for a big Premier League team.’

Take about £60 or £70 million to get this fella.

From ESPN

Atletico Madrid striker Radamel Falcao could be set to move to the Premier League in the near future - with his father predicting it may even happen by the end of January.
Falcao is one of the most highly-regarded strikers in Europe, and only increased his reputation with a stunning performance last Friday as Atletico demolished Chelsea in the European Super Cup.

The Colombia international would be coveted by clubs throughout Europe if he were to become available, but his father revealed on Sunday that the Premier League is his most likely destination.
"Yes, it's very likely," Radamel Sr said, when asked if his son could move to the Premier League in January.

"There are three teams interested - Manchester City, Chelsea and a Russian team. Falcao has always wanted to play in the Premier League.

"Ever since he was a boy he has loved Chelsea and has always thought it would be an honour to play for a big Premier League team."

It had been suggested that Chelsea would make a move for Falcao on deadline day last week, but an offer never materialised - with a club source telling ESPN that, while a deal for Napoli forward Edinson Cavani was discussed, Falcao was not on the agenda.

Chelsea also denied a preliminary agreement is already in place for Falcao, after details of an initial deal were reported in Colombia, and the player's father confirmed that any interested club still needs to agree a transfer fee.

"I don't want to talk about any pre-agreements," Radamel said. "I spoke to Falcao very briefly yesterday. The minimum release clause in his contract with Atletico Madrid is about €55 million, but Falcao doesn't want to talk figures."

yes, that's they need him much more part..

it's not easy job to get world class striker to City these days as competition for places in team is big.. it's hard enough to keep dzeko and balo on the bench, imagine if falcao would replace one of them and you have him, aguero and tevez.. you have to leave one of world's top 5-6 strikers on the bench. Not going to work that way, I'm afraid.

I love Aguero but most supporters will be aware of reports of a return to Madrid, in the medium term.
If we could get Falcao, (huge "IF"!), that would be an upgrade?

Falcao's 26, He will have 2 or probably 3 more years at the top.
Aguero's 24 and he has much more to his game and He is nowhere near his peak yet.

I like Falcao but I don't know if he is like Dzeko, everybody thought Dzeko was going to be one of the best strikers in the world by judging him for Wolfsburg in a handful of CL games and on youtube.

Aguero's by far the more complete player, Falcao is an exceptional goal scorer, Nothing more nothing less.

From what I've seen, I disagree. There's more to Falcao than just goal scoring.

I haven't seen that much of him (but how much have you?), but it seems to me that he has far too much basic footballing skill to be dismissed as a mere goal scorer.

I do agree that Aguero is a more complete player - but not "by far".

They are both tremendous talents - and if City manage to get Falcao to play alongside Aguero, that would be sensational.

(Another Atletico player worth considering, in a very different role, would be Arda Turan).

Case of: What we don't have, we instantly want.

We don't need him.

I think Falcao is superb. no worse and somewhat better than some of the current strikers we have - But we don't need him.

Tevez right now is a beast, guys on fire. Have to see where Aguero stands when he comes back from his injury, but we all know how good he is, especially when alongside Tevez.

These two are animals.

I just don't see the point in shipping him in, unless Mario and Edin don't wanna be here.
