In theory, this should work, but as witnessed earlier in the same game, we can have pundits and former refs look at video evidence of Sanchez punching the ball into the net and still insist it was a legitimate goal. Video evidence is a noble idea, but if the *experts' who are viewing the video are the same old people we rely on to analyse the games for us, then it is pointless.
Ex-refs like Webb & Gallagher rarely criticize current refs. The refs union is a self-perpetuating tight circle. Get some independent people to assess refs, not ex-refs! It's all too incestuous.
So they get royally shafted during the game and the FA thought they can heap on further misery after as wellI see Hull have been charged over this by the FA, for failing to control their players.
