Its about all 11 defending at all times when we dont have the ball and in all areas of the pitch.

That said, i dont expect the typical boot it long pundit to see that or ever get it unfortunately.
 
Another impressive performance imo.

I can see it starting to look / feel like it should, and importantly, how Pep wants it.

Looks like the players are learning how to move 'together' in all phases, how to win the ball back when out of possession and how to 'spring' when the counter is on.

Still to much pissing about in tight defensive areas for me but I've noticed the defenders (Stones particularly) are learning to 'show' and make angles to give the defender with the ball better options.

And lets have it right, when Silva is allowed the freedom to boss fuck out of a midfield, he really does boss fuck out of a midfield. Absolutely peerless when he's properly on it.

If we get within 6 of Chelsea they may well shit their knickers and game well and truly on. Game at theirs could be colossal.

Ref was my motm. Best I've seen all season. Why can't we have similar faith in the officials in the rest of the games.

Sterling was great as was Silva. Sane had one of those games where nothing went right for him but to be fair he never gave up.

If Aguero just had an extra yard of pace...

His kicking has improved beyond recognition from last year some of his passing is so good and he is reading the game so much better now to, that save in the first half with his feet was so vital in the overall scheme of the game to

It isnt pissing about mate, its an integral part of us creating space in which to play and exploit.
 
Dug deep there, stuck with Pep's playing out from the back without panicking, despite Bournemouth's pressing. It shits me up but they seem to know what they're doing. Willy solid again, Stones looking composed. Sagna is quality, I wish he was 10 years younger!

Silva plays a different level of football to everyone else, including our other top players. He's a fucking genius at football and if he got more goals he'd be as good as Iniesta and Pirlo in their prime. Best player to ever play for us in my opinion.
 
Have a friend, an Evertonian, who just doesn't get my waxing about Silva. Said at half time, he's bossing this, dictating the tempo and taking them apart now he has the influence. He gets it now.

Pellegrini originally signed Willy for his distribution as he had no faith in Joe's. He just never got given a proper run early on and it affected his confidence big time.
We are now seeing why he was such a highly rated keeper in Spain.
