As I said on this video on the OP has several unknown session musicians, not Nick Mason on Drums and another keyboard player as well as Rick Wright, not Roger Waters on Bass and 2 other guitarists
Pink Floyd as a band could never play as good as these, Gilmour just playing his usual Blues scale (which he is good at), and they always needed 3 girly singers on the 'harder to sing' songs
Probably the most overrated band ever, at least other huge bands like Led Zep, Yes, Deep Purple could actually play theyre music without help.
I once heard Roger Waters say that they developed the stage theatrics like laser shows and blow up pigs and aeroplanes etc to disguise the fact that they were a pretty shit band who sang out of tune.
Still, the dope heads dug them
I dont hate them or anything, I thought DSOTM was a great album, its just I dont think theyre great musicians, if you saw them play on theyre own without all the support guys and huge stage show anybody with half a brain would realise this

Could have something to with the fact that the video isn't of Pink Floyd, it's David Gilmour on his solo tour playing in Gdansk. So you wouldn't expect PInk Floyds other members to be there seeing as it isn't them playing.
Roger Waters left Pink Floyd some time ago so you'd not see him playing with them anyway.
Rick Wright had another keyboard player on stage as they wanted to actually play the tracks live and not have pre-recorded/programmed keyboards.
'Need three girl singers on the harder to sing songs' - eh? I really don't get that, there are parts in songs specifically written for female singers, they are not shipped in to sing the 'harder to sing songs' at all.
And most importantly it's their not they're

After all, a chinless wonder from Oxford college would hardly be in a position to argue the rights and wrongs of a defensive midfielder. But people with no musical talent, who think someone like the dreadful Jonny Marr can play guitar, think they can rip David Gilmour a new one? You really have no idea.
Deary me. Regardless of personal taste, Johnny Marr is easily one of the best guitarists I've ever heard play. If not the best. I'm also a huge fan of Pink Floyd, by the way,

Really???
Not being a keyboard warrior here, but has he done anything like the accepted guitar masters have done? I'm talking Blackmore doing Highway Star, Child in Time and Stargazer type stuff, and Gilmour on DSOTM and WYWH and Pulse live. Stuff that you know if you live to be 100 you'll never be able to play. If he has then fair enough, tell me and I'll have a listen.

Can you imagine needing an arm transplant and being offered this fucker? Oh my days. I'd rather they gave me a refurbished litter picker.![]()
nearly 30 years old :)
As musicians? Average. However, as performers absolutely amazing. Their stagecraft was outstanding. Don't underestimate how difficult it was to pull off live performances like they did, time and time again.
Their albums weren't bad either.......
What did you expect, trying to eat your pudding before your lumpy mashed spuds and spam fritters, you deserved your beatingsNever did it for me. Still don't. I found them as I did most rock bands of the 70's self indulgent twats. I was young but knew I hated the same old shute. The same riffs same lead solos and lyrics to make you puke.
Most of my mates now like them. But, when did I ever listen to them?
Not for me.
Liked the wall as a primary kid. We used to sing it in the playground then be mercilessly beaten with the belt.
Well, it was the good old days. :)
