Monaco post match

What concerns me is that after looking at their penalty and how long it took the ref to make the decision it looks quite obvious that they are getting these calls down an ear piece from off the field after review.
If this is the case then fair enough, but if so how did Aguero not get his pen?

Fucking corrupt.
 
Can't wait for second leg, Monaco played suicidal attacking football on the road, can only imagine when they are at home, their CB Glick is suspended, weakening there already terrible defense, I trust pep will figure it out
 
Truly amazing night!

Awful defensively but never gave up and scored from the chances we created.

Monaco look a lot like us, great going forward, but terrible defensively.

Thought Yaya was very good, Silva's chip over to Aguero to help create the 5th goal was immense, but otherwise he had a fairly frustrating game, De Bruyne hardworking but not much went for him tonight also, Sterling and Sane were my joint MoM's, both were a threat all night and scored one each. Our defence, apart from Willy, was shockingly bad at times.

I fancy our chances of scoring at Monaco, so I think we just have the edge to qualify.

Great to see Sergio back on form. We mustn't lose him in summer!

Sané just getting better all the time, what a brilliant young player we've got there. Raheem was amazing too, our attack is pretty special

And a shout out to Big Willy, pen save and that one with his foot, and commanding the area.

Him and dinho were ripped a new one.... I love dinho but he's no fullback.'it was calling out for a flat back four well before Pep made the call, zab stepped up and calmed the storm for us...

Anyway, not to detract from the game, which is up there as one of the best you'll see!
 
If you can't enjoy that match....you might as well give in.

It had everything....goals galore...excellent finishing...defence fuck ups...8 goals...and a City win...pure fantastic entertainment...

As a side note...I thought the ref was shite....and have no idea why he was throwing so many yellow cards about.
 
Well that was fun! Genuinely brilliant game to watch, one of my all time favourites. Really enjoyed Kevin Keegans Monaco, but over the moon with how we fought on and wore them out, then punished them.

Some fantastic performances from the front 5, some absolute horror shows from the defence, particularly Stones who should have done a lot better on all three goals. Hugely looking forward to the second leg, hopefully we lose 6-4 and win on away goals. (genuinely wouldn't rule that out)

Oh and the referee is a bent ****.

Trouble is we can't play like that at the back and win anything.
Come on Pep let's lay the beautiful game , but we need to be more solid in defence.

Monaco looked absolutely lethal in attack, their defending was just shitter than ours lol. Really love Sterling and Sane, both are just amazing and I hope we get to see them together for the next 10 or so years :) Kun tried his heart out, scored an amazing volley and a job well done for him today. At times it breaks down a lot with him but I guess when he's scoring it doesn't matter!

If we get through we'll need a decent draw because I don't see us getting past Bayern or Barca with defending like that.

If we had their fullbacks I think we would be unstoppable. Exciting times ahead. Referee was so bad it was funny and here was I thinking a Spanish ref would enjoy officiating our Dave. Apart from all those players already mentioned I thought De Bryune was one of the unsung heroes tonight.
 
Not sure my heard could take another 90 like that.
If only we had an average defence we would be incredible.
 
What a mental game. I was relieved when Pep made some defensive subs towards the end to hang on to our advantage.

I thought Sterling had a great game tonight, he will be missed in the return leg.
