When i was a season ticket holder i was not botherd if i could not go or my space/ seat was empty or not .to be honest i did not give a sh#t .but in todays global market it a bit diferent .it looks pathetic now if we cant sell out but Bournemouth do (pundits wont tell you how many tickets we did sell though)and that we sell more Bournemouth but will slag of empty seats .would love the club to price tickets appropriately. so we could sell out our games against Stoke ect

44,000

Was a good crowd tonight. Stoke only brought 1,000 and their seats above in the 3rd tier were full of City.

This game was short notice. Only re-arranged a few days ago.

Question is simple how many season tickets do we sell .i remember in the1970s it was a very small proportion cos ticket prices were so cheap. Just wondering how it has changes now a days.

Do you not think that this game getting brought forward may have had an impact on tonights attendance at least?

you're right they should sell them at 20 quid for games like Stoke, what they did? They will have sold more tickets to blues for today than for United and the other glamour games for to the 1500 ish in ss3.

Many games in the 70s we could not get 40 thousand. Lol thought the atmosphere was great tonight

Yeah it might have done .getting 44.000 plus to a night game is great in my view considering how much it costs now a days .but the people who run the club cant be happy at all the empty seats .oops lets market the tickets better and sell em cheaper

44,000 is the no of season tickets we have. I don' know what the crowd was. Looked like 52000 or thereabouts. 250 emoty setas at top of CB3, and 250 in Stoke end. Stoke's returns (1,000) were sold to City. it would have been sold out had Stoke brought their usual crowd, but as said above this was re-arranged last minute and on TV. Thought it was a very good crowd.

How times change, when I first got my season ticket back in the days it was because I wanted to be sure I could see every game, it wasn't about saving a few pounds.

Now a days people want to save for other things .houses cars ect season tickets come down the list so dont blame people for buying the cheapest

Sorry, saving money was not the point I was trying to make. It appears now we have many season ticket holders who pick and choose the games they want to attend. A big difference from the days I was recalling when most season ticket holders never missed a game.

I thought the turnout was pretty good considering.

1. The game was arranged with little notice
2. 8pm kick offs are not good for kids in school terms.
3. It was on Sky.

Wish I hadn't bothered to be honest. Was freezing in SS3 and watching that turgid crap in the first half didn't warm me up.

Yes i agree with you seems barmy to buy season tickets and not bother turning up

Now this is where it's difficult for the club to slash the cost of season cards
If they make them too cheap, supporters (and I use that term loosely) will really pick and choose which matches to attend as it won't cost them that much

The club needs to be a bit more cute when distributing these excess tickets. The crowd in that top away end would have filled the empty rows in the east and family stand and it would also be better for atmosphere. I wonder how many tickets went unsold from the planner? People turning up at the ticket office in the days leading up to the match are obviously being sold tickets up there, i suppose it's better to get the cash immediately then knock it off next year's ST , which is wrong imo. $

Perhaps they should either offer a discount if you use your season ticket for, say, 17 games or more or surcharge people who don't attend a significant number of games.
