What book are you reading now / or recommend?

Sapiens - a brief history of humankind.
Really well written non fiction, Not heavygoing and challenges perceptions about the world we live in.

Another vote here for American Tabloid and the cold 6000, Elroy's LA quartet are very good as well, although I have none on the go at the moment James Lee Burke's Dave Robicheaux series of books are another slice of evovactive American crime but based in the Deep South, there must be about 20 to go through
I've probably read all the Robicheaux books, I go through phases of certain authors, Tony Hillerman is an easy read too, Native Indian detective fluff

Good books, going to try and re read all 30 at some point soon, maybe in trilogies.
Love Feist, without doubt my fav fantasy author. Nothing for me has come close to the magician trilogy. Going to start the reading the empire trilogy next week as got a week away working.

The Riftwar trilogy is my favourite fantasy trilogy too. It's just an awesome read. @SWP's back not wanting to read "dragon shit" means he is missing out on one of the best series of books of all time.
