Full Backs?

Think it will be 2 new guys plus Maffeo. So if Heinrich and Probably a Left back. I'm guessing Bernat or Grimaldo.

Or it could be Heinrich and Fabihno based on links plus Maffeo as the 3rd.

Heinrich, Maffeo and Grimaldo would be perfect, with Fabinho coming in as a midfielder who can play RB if Pep wants him to.

That would give Heinrich, Maffeo & Fabinho as RB options. Grimaldo, Heinrich and Kolarov as LB options.

That only works if Fabinho is your first choice to play pivot though , for me there are other players I would rather come in to play that position. If we got Fabinho Id rather it was for right back mainly.

Yeah. Bummer but this kid has versatility. So we only need 3 fullbacks. At LB it has to be a toss up btw Bernat and Grimaldo. If we are not getting Semedo then my Grimaldo affection becomes 1b to Bernat's 1a. That said, in 3 years years I think Theo is the one who becomes a superstar.

I think we will sign 1 RB and 1 LB. Possibly rely on midfielders like Fernandinho as cover (and possibly Maffeo). Unless he gives either Zabba or Sagna a 1 year extension.

My problem with Grimaldo is that he seems very injury prone. And i mean.....Gundogan level injury prone. Which is why i don't think we'll sign him. Not sure how Gaya has progressed either.

Pep loves his multifunctional players, so the idea of having someone like Fabinho who can fill in multiple positions is vital.

Non home grown squad numbers are still tight, so if we bought Fabinho as full back first he could still cover pivot / def mid. What I dont see is us buying him as first choice pivot and I'm not sure we have enough room to buy a rb a pivot and Fabinho as well. I'm all for getting Fabinho but as our right back not as a first choice midfielder.

Fucking fabulous player this Henrichs. Would be my first preference definitely because he is young, quick, physical, a very good baller and versatile. From what little I have seen of him this campaign, he doesn't seem to have a weak foot. So he can cover variety of pos in defence and midfield.

I remember his agent completely disregarding the fact that us and couple other big clubs were after this lad. I'm surprised if we have actually made a positive approach to get him this summer. Is SKY GERMANY as credible?

Take a look at his performance vs. Atleti the other night in round of 16. Yes his side gave away 4 goals but he still had a fairly decent game.

Hopefully this is true, tap him up now and strike in the summer. Really good player. Right back position would be sorted for a long time.

I've said a few times we should get this kid. I'll be buzzing if we do

I guess its Bernat then. Or take a chance on Theo.

Really?

I know that Everton are painful to deal with but Seamus Coleman is a top right back who is good in attack and defending and seems to get a good share of goals.

Is Bellerin out of the question?

I would say so. It's not just the price, but with Sanchez and/or Ozil leaving, Arsenal will have to draw a line somewhere and just refuse to sell someone, else they'll look like they've completely collapsed. Bellerin's the most likely as he's got 6 years on his contract (signed in November) and he's still young.

Where are Ozil and Sanchez going? Or rumored to be going?

Sanchez will go anywhere they'll take him. Juve or Bayern would be my best guess, if not Chelsea. Atletico wouldn't be out of the question if Griezmann goes, as Atleti have always spent big on strikers and he suits the Simeone approach.

He's clearly not going to renew his contract though, and Arsenal can't afford to let him go on a free.

How about Asamoah from Juve at left back? They've got Sandro so wouldn't look for a kings ransom, he's pacey, solid defensively, lethal cross and shot and has played left back, left wing back, left wing and centre mid so he ticks all the boxes we need. Fair enough, he's not 18 with 6 and a half games under his belt and a shitload of hype, but...
