Indeed it would. It looked absolutely deadly when we tried it with inferior players in the Fall. Unfortunately our defense was deadly as well but we were playing Clichy in a back three so....

That is because he was playing Silva and KDB up top. He easily could have played Nolito and Navas instead if he wanted to but why would he?
We can do this all day long. He easily could have put Jesus out left if he was here. He had 5 attacking players in the lineup (Nacho, KDB, Silva, Sterling, and Sane). This was before Gundogan went down and before Silva started dropping deeper to cover that loss.
So you think it's actually realistic that Pep Guardiola plays 2 midfieldesr?? You think he'd drop Silva and KDB for 2 strikers?

It would be two, a Pivot/DM and presumably and 8. 3 CBs behind them, 2 wingbacks and an attacking trident. I don't know if he would do it next season, but that is what I saw him do against Everton in October and it was some of the best football we played this season.
It goes hand in hand with his philosophy of scoring quickly and often as a form of defense. We would have slaughtered Everton in that game if it hadn't been for the two missed penalties.
Again, fuck if I know but I wouldn't put anything past Pep.

Not being funny but the FA actually had open job applications for youth scouting jobs the other month. Apply for one of those and work your way up.

You're basically saying drop Silva and KDB for 2 players like Sanchez or Jesus, and sorry but I just think that's impossible, I don't think you can call those 2 forwards, they're definitely midfielders and do a lot of midfield duties that the forwards would never do.

You laugh, but I coached college American football and did a stint scouting for a major college. I was directed to a giant bin of DVDs and told to find one player in it. That's scouting.

I don't necessarily disagree. What I am saying is against Everton they played as (at the very least) attacking # 10s. Its what happened.

We'd never see Pep again. He'd arrive at work everyday to dozens of indepth scouting reports compiled by Dax777. It would be dark by the time Pep made it to the training ground.
