It's that magical connection with the fans he has.Good second half performance. Loved vinnies celebration
I presume that he meant under Mancini we'd have won 9-0, with Joe scoring a brace; or some other twaddleyou don't think we did anything to earn the points ourselves?
I don't think it was a clear penalty, so wouldn't criticise the referee for this. But touching the ball by a goalkeeper or defender does not preclude the eventuality that a foul was also committed.the keeper gets a touch on the ball...small touch but he deflects the ball.....no penalty
I've got a friend who always says this. "If you're not going to give a penalty, then you have to book him for diving." He doesn't seem to realise that it's possible to do a clean tackle and still trip the player up, like......say, every sliding tackle ever. What!? Do you live in a world where everything that's not a penalty is a dive? Because the rest of us don't. He didn't appeal for a penalty when he went down, no referee in this country will book him for that.
Just because it's not a penalty, doesn't mean it's a dive.

Can you please explain to @Karen and @Pablo1. They believe I'm just an emotionless fan for hearing emotion :)There was certainly something wistful about his comments. Hopefully just regret tgat he's missed so many games.
As far as the match was concerned, that second goal is etched on my memory above the other 89 minutes. Gorgeous, sublime football.
You're wrong.no but getting there before the player does and touching the ball....it was a great save nothing more. Even Sane said it wasn't a penalty.....
Like a lot of players, Ota looks a better player with Vinnie directing the back four. He has the full backs on a leash - presenting a more formidable defensive unit to the opposition. Who controls the defence when Vinnie doesn't play ?me too. Had a very authoritative game with no errors to speak of

You're wrong.
I'vee been quiet for a few minutes now. But a few folks are still discussing the pen issue. Is it okay with you if I jump in?Give it a rest. We understand you don't think it was a penalty. It doesn't matter now.
Came on to get people's take on the match not your constant bitching about a penalty or not.
He didn't. The only angle that BT seem to want to show from behind the goal suggests he may have done, every other angle suggests he got nowhere near
Magical connection with the fans.Vinny with the vital breakthrough goal, more solid at the back and properly celebrating with the fans. Legend
He got a touch on the ball 100%
I was watching one of the streams..they showed various angles nd from the side its clear.......(think it was Sport TV 3 or something like that.....foreign commentary...they went over it a few times though i couldn't understand a word they said but the side angle clearly shows the keeper gets a touch enough to change the direction of the ball
Sane also said it wasn't a penalty and didnt appeal....Im not sure if any of the other players did (they may have done...the bench certainly did appeal)
