Really disappointing given how average a side Arsenal are, which says a lot about our own side to be fair. It would be really hard to get excited about next season if I didn't think we were going to splash another £200m in the summer. There are just far too many average players who are happy to be passengers. We need a positive result on Thursday otherwise it could be an even bigger disaster of a season for Pep and the players.
People will point to the officials but Navas was clumsy with Sanchez and the Sane cross was the finest of margins, we got past that and put ourselves in front into a position where a half decent side just sees that game out. There's a lack of leadership and composure in that kind of situation this season - we've let go of leads against Spurs, Boro, Arsenal x2, Chelsea off the top of my head. It just didn't happen in the seasons we were winning it. You get in front and you see the game out professionally.
