Arsenal(FA Cup Semi Final) Post Match Thread

Now why doesn't that surprise me. Only want to believe your own narrative I guess.

Not just mine.

Even Ian Wright and Camelgob thought it was nailed on and took the piss out of Webb but if you share the view of Webb in that it wasnt a penalty then thats your perogative as it is mine to completely ignore 99% of the tripe that comes out of you on here.

Overall a lacklustre performance. Losing Silva a massive blow but we never really looked to be on our A game. Expected more from our lads today but for me it is all about Thursday. I can take today's defeat but for fuck sake we need to step up to the plate on Thursday.

Am i the only one who thinks Kevin was shit, and wasted that free role opportunity he got given to him.

I think it was a pen but so was theirs. Even if the goal was allowed it would have probably played out the same.

Answer one question, "did you feel confident at 1 nil?" I didn't. The biggest frustrations in life are the ones you know are going to happen, Pep has been presenting that outcome too much this season.

I thought that with 30 minutes left it was unlikely we could hold out.

Simply not acceptable. How on earth can the So called best manager in world football make us worse than we were under Pellegrini last season?

We can't win any big games, we can't defend, we can't hold leads. What's he done to us? Absolute FRAUD
Every one of your posts are the same on every thread, nothing good to say ever, stop watching if you hate everyone so much

He's built a foundation of a style of football that is more complicated than anything ever done in England before and attempted to bring our tactical sophistication up to the level of the major European leagues.

He's also spent his first season assessing the squad and will be chopping some very popular names such as Aguero and possibly Kompany in order to facilitate this. He's created in Jesus, Sterling and Sane an attacking three that's potentially got ten years together and will be the envy of Europe.

In addition he's attempting to make the fans realise their role in a football match isn't passive which if taken onboard will be a lesson we've needed to learn for many years.

He's also as it stands putting us back into the Champions League.

He's got a big job ahead of him but let's not go all raggy and presume he's just turned up and tossed it off for a year.

Maybe but he's also made a lot of mistakes this season - many avoidable ones.

really, blatant pens for both teams missed, never a booking for sanchez, the silva foul should of been booked, i'd say a fairly poor performance on the whole

Why never a booking for Sanchez, it's the 6th foul by Arsenal at that point.

I think it was a pen but so was theirs. Even if the goal was allowed it would have probably played out the same.

If the goal tnennpen had been given we'd have been 2-0 up ffs.

Can't overcome shit management decisions, time after time! Needs to adapt or fuck off

It's fans like you who need to fuck off. He adapts every fucking game ffs.

Nah I disagree with that, we have got so good at keeping the ball we take it for granted, since when are Arsenal happy to let the other team have a the lions share of possession? Exactly never... the ball was in their half for so much of that game you can't say we weren't the better team. The stats flatter them because most all of their chances came from counter attacks that started in their own half, that says it all for me. Our goal came from a counter ironically but that's neither here nor there we were passing it around in their half at will they were as defensive as I've ever seen and Arsenal team.

Pretty similar to the league game at the Emirates, we had more possession, were leading and still didn't bring the result home. Pep knew what to expect and didn't prepare the team well enough.

good job jesus is nearly fit, silva looked like a dead leg so fingers crossed he'll make it, sergio just looked knackered, its ferna that's a worry looked like his calf

i thought it looked like the back of silva knee ......hope you are right

ferna - well i thought that was cramp - he seemed to be grabbing the back of both calves (it would be very unusual to get a muscle pull in both)

Sergio - yeah thats what i thought

I think we can do without fern but id like to have the other 2

If Jesus wasn't fit for the bench today i cant see him being in the first 11 on thursday...but we can live in hope.....personally you could drop either KDB, Sane or sterling for him.........just not kun based on the last few performances in games

fucked over by ref today, but the substitutions were wierd by pep, best team lost for me.

fuck it, could be worse

On a side fans were a let's say dissapoiment bar some on the 5th tier and that was a minority we were shocking.

Well done the F.A

Talk about fucked over by the officials.

Never seen worse in 50 years.

Never been one to get involved in "the agenda", but for the first time ever, not so sure.

If I was Pep, I would have just called the players off, and said fuck you F.A.

P.S. Not a Clichy fan at all, but well played today fella.

Well played Clichy? Are you a) Joking? b) Drunk? Or c) Blind?

He was awful.

Post match I've just pulled my head out of the unlit gas oven hearing that Palace have beat Liverpool 2-1.
#lifesaver
#hope

I'm getting tired of having to talk about the referees but it really feels like they want City fans to stop watching the game in disgust so the rag media can continue saying we have no fans. We need to get top 4 at all costs, beat the rags and then launch a full legal investigation into the whole referees association at the end of the season.
