Seasoncard Renewals 2017/18

It would be very disappointing if we increased prices again when so many other clubs have announced price freezes for next season.

Agreed - Considering FIFA will be refunding 33.3 million back to the club for fair play debarckle.

I can see the club including either domestic or all cup games in the price that way they can raise the prices. Also if we get knocked out early as usual get drawn away they will benefit.

I think they never actually withheld that money but even if they didn't, turnover this year should be in excess of £450m of which I reckon possibly £25m comes from non-premium season ticket sales. Profits should be well in excess of £50m, maybe as high as £70m. They could reduce standard season ticket prices by 20% and it would cost them £5m at most, even if they didn't sell a single extra ticket.

They should be free for anyone over 4000pts this season,as a loyalty thank you......................(this is just in case they are trawling the forums for comments)..:)

Not a bad idea really, but I'd go for anyone signing up to all cup comps should get something knocked off there season ticket.

I was expecting my sons to increase this year as he's now 16, but the small print in the email says 'For the 2017/18 season age band categories are as follows; Under 18, 18-21, Adult and Over 65. Your age band and therefore the price you pay is calculated based on the age you will be as of 1st August 2017.' Is that new, or was I wrong thinking there was a 16-18 category?

Yeah I read that, my lad is 17 upon renewal date so last year his ticket went up from Junior to the 16-17 bracket.
It'd be nice if his ticket price therefore went back down this year but I wouldn't be surprised if they're planning to raise the kids prices to offset the loss of the 16-17 bracket.

Not a long window really for people to get money together.
Could have made it the end of May surely.
If we had got to finals CL and FA Cup would they have extended it to give Blues who would have spent hundreds time to recoup a bit.

That will be a dirty trick if they do.
Who do they think actually pays for the tickets.

I think an under 18 price is fair as most 16 to 18 year olds are still in education. But yes, I may be jumping the gun in thinking my sons price will stay pretty much the same

Hah! My IT department once e-mailed me the password I needed to access my e-mail.
BT once emailed me to tell me they'd cut off my internet access after I'd changed my debit card and forgot to update the new one with them. That was after they'd cut me off. It took some time to convince the BT CSA I spoke to, enquiring why I seemed to have no internet access, that it wasn't really the cleverest thing to have done. "But we emailed you" he said. "After you cut off my access so how the hell was I supposed to be able to read the email". Long pause "I think I see what you're saying".

Anyway, this is a big test of the club's intentions if they really are serious about atmosphere. A price freeze is the minimum required here. I've always said that £40 a game (£760 a season) is my limit. I'm currently paying £725 so even just a 5% increase will take me over my self-imposed limit.

I think the lack of any announcement about price freezes or reductions is a bad sign......
