Style of play doesn't help. Completely exposed.

I didn't get giddy after the earlier rounds, and I'm not going to get too despondent now.
We won the competition in 2008 with a decent Top Four prospect (Sturridge), a player who flattered to deceived (Weiss), and a couple of lads who eventually prospered, but would have struggled if they'd stayed at City in the immediate post takeover period (Mee and Trippier). We also had Boyata, so overall it wasn't too bad.
The whole dynamic of youth football have since changed, and there now seems to be a pattern of City thrashing all and sundry, until the final stages when we struggle against bigger, stronger,and faster opponents.
For the moment, we need to stick to our principles, because despite their total domination of youth football, all these bigger Chelsea lads aren't making the grade.
Similarly, as discussed on other threads, the success of our Academy will be measured in the number of squad places reserved for our young lads next season, and their eventual progress.
