Pep is the one deciding who we buy now so hopefully we will make some savvy buys,i'm really looking foward to the first game in august to see what team we have

Yes, I would if they're good enough to impact games. I'd even have them starting some lesser games to give our starters a break. That doesn't mean there isn't any room on the bench for any younger players judged ready and some of those players could play alongside these 'older heads' in cup games as well. I certainly wouldn't want a bench with only untried youngsters, nor do I want a bench with players that I don't believe are good or reliable enough such as Fernando or Delph.
 
No problem with this as long as it's on lower wages, he's not first name on the team sheet or the star of the team anymore. Be surprised if he accepts a one year deal though, his chances of getting a last payday will be a lot lower next summer.

If the youngest aren't ready then they are not ready and we can't buy 2 new players for every position in one window,yaya can change a game still and navas is ok cover for rb,you have to be realistic about the squad rebuild.if true yaya and navas will only be for 1 yr and then i expect some youngsters will be ready,it's about planning and timing and not spending a ton of money if we don't have to in one window
 
Fuck sake. I'm in my 30's and past my best they fancy throwing me a year contract while they're at it? So much for building for the future. Cut the fucking cord.

I thought the aim would be to improve the team and the squad year on year, not hand out early pension schemes

Im sure it is the aim and maybe, just maybe they know more than us about the best way to do that, if they think another year of Navas and Toure on the bench either gives us more to spend in other positions or give our younger players a bit longer to get up to the standard required them I'm for it.
Because I havent seen enough fromGarcia or Maffeo to suggest they are ready to step up if injuries require us to depend on them. I f Pep though he could , he would How many loans did Kane need at spurs before he was ready ?

Very stupid of you to bring the whole cake thing up, that's something I would expect from a rag. We all know the media were behind the cake saga. I understand you were trying to be funny but yaya has attained legend status here and played a very important rule in the 2011/2012 and 2013/2014 title run in. Show some respect.

TOURE will not accept a wage cut. So how would it save money. Pep does know more than me that is why he will not offer one.
 
At least in this case he has had a good season.
If he shows the same commitment and form this is a no brainer despite his age.

So it's no big deal then either he wont accept, or he wont be offered a new deal. Fine by me, but if Pep offers him one and he accepts, so is that. The saving money was more on a transfer fee for somebody to replace him if he goes as we would probably need two cm instead of just the one to play pivot.
