Sounds like Silva will start (according to Bluwhit), which is good news. Looking forward to seeing Jesus hopefully get another 90 minutes under his belt too. Think they've got a few injuries at centre half so we should look to capitalise on that by attacking them from the off.

I hope Silva plays but would be surprised. I may be wrong but it seems to me that whenever Pep expresses any qualification about a player's fitness they dont play. Sometimes he will say that a player is fit but still doesn't play him. It doesn't seem to work the other way round.

Been on nights all week in mind.
Just drove home finished work at 4.
Train leaves at 9.30.
If we don't win I will go mental

Every time we are given a lifeline we manage to not capitalise on it.

FFS City do what any side in our position should do and get the win.

We all know it will a struggle to do so but with Spurs out on the hunt now you know Manure will pick up 3 points at their place so we have to get wins on the board now.

Good point

For some strange reason I expect us to win today (a hard fought and close win, but a win nevertheless).

I know there's been precious little evidence of this for most of this season, but I have a strange feeling that the team will win when it actually matters.

Notwithstanding your username but assuming your a blue I hope you are spot on but seriously from a blue perspective wouldn't it be nice for the game for once to be all done and dusted by the 20 minute mark ala Burnley a few years back in the swimming pool.

With Sergio, Merlin and Big John all out, the team pretty much picks itself, IMHO:

Bravo

Navas
Kompany
Otamendi
Kolarov

Fernandinho
Touré

de Bruyne

Sterling
Sané
Jesus

Kolarov in at full-back to help combat Palace's height up front.

Is bravo fit?

Watched this match in the pub with ny grandad.

Their sky box went down just before kick off. We gave them a few mins to resolve the issue. We got impatient, necked or beers and went to a pub round the corner.

We walkyd in to find we were 3 nil up. Only about 14 mins gone. Thought I was dreaming!

Mixed feeling of joy at the scoreline and mild annoyance a having missed 3 goals.

It's basically win or bust for City and Pep today.

A draw isn't any good, nevermind a defeat.

With Arsenal and United playing each other tomorrow, and Jose reportedly playing a weakened team, if true, this is our chance to open up a gap on both (draw) of them, or at least one of them. A win against Palace would pile the pressure on both teams. With Liverpool playing at home to Southampton, which they should win, we can't afford to fall 6 points behind Liverpool either, even though we have a game in hand against them.

Unfortunately with Silva and Serg missing, I think Palace with big fat Sam in-charge, will come and park the Palace bus(just like United) and get the draw they want

Draw. :-(
