Leicester post match thread

That's pretty much my point. Person I responded too was posting bile about the ref being shit & trying to cheat us out of the win; whereas in reality he was more than fair & we should be celebrating a big win.
You are correct the ref can only give what he sees half the time the panel on tv cant even agree even the next day lol .i did not have a clue to start with why it was disalowed. Glad it wants who wants to be ref. Not me

Yes I am pleased we won, I am not pleased how we had to struggle to hold Lester. A whole season is coming to end and Pep is still struggling to find what works for the team after trying probably the most combinations ever by any team.

Fucking cheer cheer cheer for Pep without any reason.
The reason being we just won, no?

What makes you think we'd have done better with Aguero starting today? Do you know his level of fitness? Do you not understand my point about rushing him back?

Did we do better when he started with Jesus against Boro?

Really ? if anyone can find my blue tinted specs i must have mislaid them in the East Stand level one , block 109 , please PM if they are found apparently i need them for Tuesday night.
It's not blue tinted specs to suggest Leicester didn't deserve to win.

You're on your fucking own with that thought.

Decent first half display, but the change in our play after their goal just shows again how fragile this team is. So clumsy from Clichy again and we were lucky to come away with the 3 points. We all know it but it shows again that we are in desperate need of some new full backs.

Going forward we didn't make great decisions today. Poor pass from Jesus in the 2v1, Sane and Aguero not look for each other, Sterling not getting to involved. All in all it was relatively frustrating BUT 3 points still leaves me with a smile at the end of it.

Showed some real quality in the first half, felt a bit like earlier in the season where we played brilliantly but couldn't sustain it.

By far the biggest test between us and 4th is over, not entirely sure what there is to moan about.

As raz said, that win was a bit down to luck honestly but given how some games have gone this season the team deserves that luck.
Positives of the game were silva once again showing he's the only player in the team who's game is not affected by pressure, yaya rolling back the years and giving a very assured performance especially in the second half on the back of leicester pressure, sane who looked dangerous in bursts throughout and the much needed 3 points at a vital time of the season.

Negatives. The obvious one personnel-wise is clichy who really should not be anywhere near a squad with city's aspirations but i'll leave that for now and get to an even bigger issue with the team and one that Pep has a huge job on his hands next season to fix. I've frequently complained about this team and pep's game management in countless situations where the pressure has been on and momentum shifted in favour of the other side and the team totally loses all discipline and focus for spells which end up costing them points. Its happened against tottenham home, monaco away, everton away and most of the other games the team drew at home. I know many put the blame on poor defense, goalkeeping, and convertion rate which while have all played some part, they all conversely also tie in to game management which has imo been the biggest difference in the team fighting for a champions league place instead of a league title.

Now there's been games where decisions(ref), player mistakes and bad luck(woodwork) just hasn't gone for the team which has played some part but the players and Pep's ability to manage situations where the tide has been turning has left a lot to be desired. There was a moment in today's game and its happened too many times this season where the other team were clearly gaining confidence and nervousness started to creep into the ground and some of the players. Instead of them showing a bit of positional and defensive discipline in those brief periods in order to calm the tide and slowly gain composure and control back in the game, you will often find some of them(mostly the midfielders) completely vacating their position and marker to try and close down a ball that they have little or no chance of winning often leaving a gap that gets easily exploited and puts pressure on the defence. I understand Pep's thinking in always wanting the team on the front foot and applying pressure in the hope that the attackers will outscore the opponents from the errors and chances that creates, but that way of playing is not sustainable throughout a whole game and season especially with the current personnel of the team and in times where the team is under pressure. Conte instilled that kind of game management into the Juve players when he was there and seems to have done that at chelsea this season where they know what to do when faced in those situations. You can't always put the blame on players as this city team is the same one that went on to restrict the then winners real madrid with its attacking talent to just a goal(a lucky one at that) in two ties with the likes of Mangala, fernando and clichy in the side.

This doesn't mean the team reverts to becoming totally defensive, in fact you will find most of chelsea's goals have come on the break when the other side looked to be gaining momentum. It just means the players show a bit of discipline and awareness and opt for a more controlled, counter-attacking mentality in moments in games where they are under pressure and would've made the world of a difference in games this season where the team has gone on to concede cheap goals. Its clear that there needs to be a big defensive overhaul especially in the goalkeeper and full-back positions as well as an anchor man but if the team and pep continues to manage games in the manner he has for most of the season(front foot, all out attack at all times), the team will face the same problems next season regardless of who gets signed.

Has anyone silenced you or told you not to post?

No so you can cut the victim shit out.

Your opinions are being met with others and they think yours is fucking rubbish.

Deal with it.

I agree with blue62. Can you stop with the cyber bullying please and accept his opinion is different to yours.

On the ropes for the lasy 25 minutes unable to string a few passes together. At least the ref spotted the double touch, Dennis Irwin was allowed to get away with it.

The game management was poor, it took until the pen to them to see the obvious, and the left side was wide open all game.

PEP: The first goal from Leicester, Otamendi slipped and Mahrez took advantage. We’ll have to check the boots for Tuesday!

PEP: We make a good performance in the next half, we scored our chances. We just need one more win to secure the #UCL for next seasoPEP: (On Mahrez penalty) In golf, it is the same. When I saw the reaction from Willy, I understood immediately that it was two touches

PEP: The referee was so brave in making the decision. I’ve seen that happen before, a long time ago! It’s not normal to see!

PEP: We brought on Aguero to look for another goal. Both him and Gabriel Jesus have great qualities. They can play together.

PEP: We can not forget that Gabriel Jesus was out for three months injured. He is still young and has a lot of things to improve.

PEP: It’s important to have players like (Zabaleta) in the team. It takes time to have players like that in your team like Yaya and Sergio.

Good for you.

I also disagree with you as well then and apologies if me disagreeing with you means that you think im a cyber bully.

PEP: The first goal from Leicester, Otamendi slipped and Mahrez took advantage. We’ll have to check the boots for Tuesday! And check that the groundsman doesn't over water the pitch!!

PEP: It’s important to have players like (Zabaleta) in the team. It takes time to have players like that in your team like Yaya and Sergio. Then give him a contract extension!!!

Eccles you can't surely think giving Zabaleta a new contract is a wise idea. Far better buying a player that's an upgrade and letting a youngster be understudy.

Speaks the voice of the people , we got lucky , but we've been f*cked over by referees all season , its nice to have some payback .
Twice as many shots
Far better chances
Two thirds possession
Three times as many corners
Penalty wrongly awarded against

And yet you still believe Leicester deserved a win. Find me one write up that agrees with you.
