Leicester post match thread

Fellow blue moaners, flappers and wet fannies.
What a great grind out win against that despicable club to secure top 3, yours truly was dreading we'd have got nought from this game.
Merlin's goal, Raz was onside, marginally his mutton chops millimetres off, but his little feat on.
Sane penalty was stonewall blatant cathedral size, cool finish by Gabriel J.
Okasaki goal was cool but lucky Nico slipped. Check those fucking boots.
Clichy's penalty was outside the box, justice's been served with those two touches.
The ref and linos gave them everything, even 10 minutes. I am convinced that the English football rules state that when a foul is committed only give the kick if it's against City, and book the offender if clad in sky blue even if an opponent play acts and dives.
Enjoy.

apart from a few moments in the 1st half today's game was dull. Fed up of the slow build up play and passing across the back 4. Teams just let us have it. With all this talk about the 5 yr anniversary of you know what.......we are not a better team than 2012.... In fact we are worse. Zero progress made in 5 yrs.

Second half wasn't great but come on, Willy hadn't much to do at all. Their one goal came from a slip or they would have nothing. Just the usual suspects, many of whom voted that we'd lose on the pre-match thread finding new ways to be negative.

Good performance today IMO, we need to be able to win this way and we did. Thought KDB and Silva were absolutely immense, and Sane-Jesus-Sterling continues to dazzle, will be much success with those three for many, many years to come.

It will sicken Sly Sports & BBC that we won today. Had it been the rags, it would have been heralded as a stout performance against resolute attacking.
CNUTS!!!
They got what they deserved....fcuk all!
One style, lump it forward for a fast man. I hope Lineker chokes on MOTD tonight. Wanker.

What are you even talking about? We won the game.

I'm fed up of bullshit posts like this, where we're never good enough and never will be unless we bring back 2011/12 Mancini and restore his players to their form that one isolated season.

Kompany and Sane were good. Agree we were very good 1st half and then went to pieces. I didn't think Leicester played that well, the game just got very scrappy and nervy. KDB had a stinker and I thought Jesus was very quiet. Don't agree about Yaya. Kompany can pass the ball as well from deep so I don't see what he adds to the team when he plays so deep and he is useless when a team breaks on us as leicester were trying to do. like playing with 10 men when we don't have the ball.
Sometimes wonder if next seasonKomoy isn't deployed more as a DM, slotting into themiddle of the back three when the full backs bomb on...similar to how Yaya drops in, center halfs spread wide, and full backs going wide, or even slotting into midfield.

He started life at City as a DM, maybe he reverts to extend that career?

The players who disappointed me today were:

Nico - made some really poor clearances, panicked numerous times being scared of Vardy's pace. The penalty was his fault for a piss poor header that went straight to Mahrez.

Clichy - the guy has just lost confidence.

KDB - familiar story of just looking off the pace, gets caught in possession too many times and misses the easy ball.

Wouldn't class it as disapppointing but Jesus certainly needs to limit the little flicks, gave the ball away far too many times by attempting silly flicks instead of just retaining possession.

Should jesus have been treated on the pitch and not have had to go off?

I thought the law changed this year if the challenge resulted in a booking
then the attacking team would not be at a disadvantage eg down to 10
til the ref eventually decided to let him return?

I thought the extra time was actually correct bearing in mind he couldnt start
the additional seven til after the injury delay and then had to add additional
for the jesus navas substitution

Their Free Kick where Madely was happy for them to take it quick, but blew the whistle and let them take it again when they f**ked it up was quite sneaky. These are the kind of things which can have an outcome on a game, but often go unnoticed. Cheating f**ker.

And the fact he always let Leicester players back on before the game restarted but made ours wait, leaving us short of numbers defending set pieces

1. Nor had Schmeichel.
2. Well, we won yes, but the performance was one of our least impressive of the season at the Etihad, bar 15 mins in the middle of the 1st half IMO.
3. Seriously?? I thought he was awful.

The 3 points was all that really mattered today

Had to watch it again to confirm, but letting them make the substitution but not allowing Jesus to return. Very poor. Then booking the defender.

We have some bent referees in this country.

Edited for accuracy mate.

Blueinsa ;-)

Won ugly. No problem.
And about time we had some decisions in our favor after the agenda against us for most of the season. Next.

1. Arguably, yes, but they were chasing the game and the narrative is we had a poor second half. Perhaps so, but we held onto the lead more comfortably than some would have you think.

2. I think it's the best we've played against Leicester in a few years now. They throttled us earlier in the season, this is progress.

3. He had an 86% pass accuracy and had more possession than every player on the park but our defenders and Toure. People tend to miss how much he contributes, much like Silva, but both are integral links in the chain behind everything positive we do going forward.

He's 19.....he'll learn & improve.

The question for me is will Sterling ?

He's 3 years older,played 150 PL games for 2 clubs over 5 seasons.

Could be the one on the edges next season.

I can only come to the conclusion you never watched the game if you thought our Kevin was immense.

He was absolutely fuckin woeful

And ffs don't come back with wank stats that no one gives a fuck about.
