Yeah but don't you get it.. they'll be able to actually sign decent players now. Look at arsenal.. no CL and they will 100% lose Sanchez this summer. The rags can now attract world class players based on CL football rather than having massively overpay. It's a pile of shit that they gave a CL spot for winning this rejects cup

They could realistically sign griezman if they win this and I'm sure they'll spend a shit lot more on world class players if they get the CL. This is very bad if Utd win this.
 
last years Europa league had good teams in it, Dortmund, Sevilla, Liverpool.....this years crop has been poor and these lucky tossers have capitalised on that

Agreed! Don't wanna be a doomsday merchant but they were so close to being in a constant Liverpool like cycle of failing to qualify for the CL, having to overpay for average players, constantly sacking managers etc. This really is bad news

Don't sweat it mate. They didn't qualify last year, still bought the worlds most sought after player for mega bucks (the utd way) and they are still shite
 
The rags have put 148 passes together after 60 mins! That would be Silva and Yaya's total alone at that point in the game!
 
Typical smothering midfield from Mourinho. Ajax showing just how worthless possession stats can be. One deflection, one knock down from that limp Fellaini. Scintillating stuff!!!

The sad part is that this type of set-up...smother, knock it up front and let a rabbit chase it, or pump it up to a big man for a header or knockdown...will be lauded because it has won something, but it will be interesting if they can transition to something more "United-esque" next season with £1/4B in transfers.

Going to be an interesting summer on the transfer front for all the top teams, but I might not sure Utd fans are going to love playing this way...trying not to lose, rather than setting up to attack and win.
